At our facility, we will be with you from beginning to end of your pregnancy and help you in the time following giving birth. A Well Woman Examination is a yearly recommended physical exam for women to have to look over their reproductive health. The exam includes a breast examination, a pelvic exam and a pap smear. The breast examination looks for lumps, distortions or swelling in the breasts and attempt to detect early signs of breast cancer. A pelvic exam is an inspection of the internal and external female pelvic organs. The process and feel uncomfortable but our doctors will make it as relaxing as possible for you. The last physical exam is the Pap smear and is a screening on the cervix to see if there are any signs of precancerous or cancerous abnormalities. Menopause is the natural change in a woman’s reproductive system and hormones beginning in her 40’s or later in life. Endometriosis is a disorder where uterus tissue grows outside of the uterus walls. Some symptoms include back, abdominal, or pelvis pain, as well as, irregular menstruation. Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common type of STI and it is a virus spread through sexual activity from one person to another. There are many different types of HPV and each type has many different levels of symptoms. The HPV vaccine is used to target the types of HPV which can cause different cancers, such as cervical and those found in the pelvis, or genital warts.

The TDap vaccine is a combination vaccine used to protect against bacterial diseases which can be life threatening if not treated: tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough). Tetanus a virus which causes stiffness of the muscles, trouble swallowing, spasms or seizures. is Symptoms include muscle stiffness, difficulty swallowing, muscle spasms and seizures. It can be deadly if not treated and extremely life threatening to the elderly. Diphtheria is a bacterium which covers the back of the throat causing trouble with swallowing, breathing, and or even death. Pertussis also known as whooping cough, is a highly contagious respiratory infection which causes severe coughing and is extremely dangerous for infants.
