The Provider’s & Staff at Women’s Group of Gwinnett strives to take care of our patients during their pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum to the best of our ability. Here you will find a team of highly qualified board-certified physicians and nurse practitioners whose goal is to make every patient feel as comfortable as possible with her care. Our team of providers include 5 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners have been servicing the Gwinnett area for over 36 years!
CALL to make your FIRST APPOINTMENT
Prenatal care visits normally start at around 8-12 weeks gestation. To help with the flow of your first appointment, please download, print and complete the new patient OB forms and bring them to your first appointment along with your insurance card and a photo ID. Please arrive 30 minutes before your first appointment.
INITIAL OB VISIT
During this visit, you will have a physical exam including a pap smear. You will also receive a confirmation ultrasound, to confirm how far along you are. Also, there will be a series of prenatal labs that will test your blood type and blood count for infections (syphilis, Hepatitis B, HIV and Rubella). All the results will be reviewed with you at your next visit.
The Women’s Group of Gwinnett is proud to care for women of all different backgrounds, with normal low & high risk pregnancies. If need be, close collaboration with a team of Maternal Fetal Specialists as well as all other specialists will be incorporated into your prenatal care plan.
We believe that by having all of our physicians work together, we provide better prenatal care for all of our pregnant patients. During the course of your pregnancy, you will have the opportunity to meet each of our obstetricians and nurse practitioners. We are confident that you will love each and every one of them.
WHEN IN LABOR
When labor occurs, the obstetrician assigned to the hospital on that date will attend to you during your labor and delivery. We do all of our deliveries at Gwinnett Medical Center, located at 1000 Medical Center Boulevard, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. If you feel like you are in labor, please call the office number, day or night, to notify the on call doctor prior to arriving to the hospital at 770-979-4700.
